I'm just interested why you got the E7200 instead of E8200 or E8400? and why only 2gb of ram? because of price reasons?
EDIT: by the way I think thats a good build. And 8800GT is def a good choice. I am a fan of that motherboard too I want to use it when I build a computer but I'll be using XP.

What did you pay? The computer is pretty good but need to know a price tag to show if you got a deal or not.
Obviously ordered as parts from newegg.

I've ordered from new egg before but I mainly use ncix.com (Canadian/US) and just wondering how it compares in price tag since I bought a Q6600, EVGA 8800GTS, 4GB RAM... etc. a few months back and total including case, monitor, power supply was $1100ish CAD with shipping and tax.

If you're getting Vista, I suggest you order another 2GB now.

I use Vista and to truly take advantage of it, such as its speed-loading features, get 3GB, but you need to order 2GB to still be in dual channel, unless you order 512x2 sticks

Wait, you actually bought an operating system? Someone on this forum actually BUYS software

Probably should have asked BEFORE you ordered it. But only problem I see is the CPU
Partially agreed. I got a Q6600 with an nForce 680i AND 4Gig dual channel RAM for only $399 Canadian. For just about everything else, the E8300 or the E8400 would've been a much wiser choice, but they didn't have deal on that. E7200 is actually also better than Q6600 games as it runs cooler and over clocks higher. The E7200 is so much cheaper than the rest, and therefore it is actually an outstanding choice in my opinion.

E7200 and E8200 are pretty much simular with OC, both are stable to about 3.5ghz without getting too hot
come down to having a good cpu and having water to go beyond it.

Not really that bad.

Would 1 more GB really have made a difference?

To be honest, with Vista yes, because it precaches your commonly used apps into the RAM, the more ram you have, the most programs it can put in it for quick loading.

If your overclocking, I would suggest higher quality RAM.
Also bad choice on the heatsink the Xigmatek HDT-S1283
(http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=30012&vpn=HDT%2DS1283&manufacture=Xigmatek) gives far better perfomance (one of the best air coolers out atm, beats the thermalright ultra 120 which is 2x the price) and is slight cheaper.
