Hacking New flashcart?

I've been using my ak2i for over 2 years now and it has never stopped working. I havent updated my 3ds yet because of the flashcart update :/
The scds2 is too high in price I think, so I might go with R4i Gold 3ds but is it really worth buying one? since its a clone R4 then how can I tell if it's real or fake ? What is the official website and what is a good site to purchase it from?

We used to have a r4i gold and it was working on the DSi until randomly it stopped and it never works even with the paper contact fix

R4i gold 3ds from r4ids.cn is genuine. they use wood firmware. I got mine from oz3ds.com. you might try from them.
