These are the files on my flash drive that seem to pose as irritating threats

Autorun
Taquito.exe
Desktop.exe

Does ANY of these cause the folder shortcut virus?
I just bought this flash drive a few days ago, and these files always show up on me
I'm FED UP!
This is the exact thing that screwed up my OLD flash drive!!!

Format your flash drive but if its new imma assume your pc is infected with virii which are trying to spread by connecting to any physical or networked drives... i hope you dont have any other pc's connected to your home WLAN network that are set as network drives...

We have a WAN network.
These files come in SCHOOL, not home, too

Ohh if thats the case and those files are getting added at school then inform your school's IT supervisor that a pc has been compromised with self replicating virii and should be checked for heuristic virii/worms immediately. Dont plug that flash drive into your home pc unless you have some decent AV software on it and even then i dont recommended plugging it into any pc that you own.

Let them know its gonna end up costing them money if the harddrive gets to corrupt to use. They'll care then. And if they still dont do anything write to the school board about the issue or switch to an online flashdrive service such as dropbox.

I'd recommend formatting the thing, and then booting into Safe Mode and doing a whole virus check.

Use the Panasonic Formatter, not the crappy Windows one.
