I read the hands on article from IGN here:
http://wii.ign.com/articles/844/844908p1.html

It's about the Wii game De Blob. It's going to be quite a cool game and it seems it's being developed by a dutch gaming team calling themselves "Banana games"! See their website here: http://binnenstad.hku.nl/

It has begun as a study project done by a bunch of dutch students from Utrecht. They made a free pc download from it, because it started as a piece of information for the people of Utrecht to show how the city is going to change in the coming 15 years. So they made a game to give a "playful" demonstration of how the centre of the city was going to change.

So you can download a sort of preview of the game that now is coming to the Wii.

Wow, I'm proud that the Netherlands are finally going to put themselves on the gaming map!

According to Gamespot, it's being developed by an Australian mob called "Blue Tongue".

Well they're both involved it seems. On IGN you see both companies listed. I suppose that the original was created by Banana Games and I guess Blue Tongue developed it for the Wii.

Still they're both dutch companies.

Anyway I'm very curious about this game. It's a bit off-kilter, I like that

Looks interesting.. good to see that not all small developers on the Wii are interested in shovelware.. some of them also have good ideas

It's good to remember that Portal was originally a students idea..

Did you forget about Overlord, Killzone, Shellshock and Age of Wonders for example already? ;P

I didn't even know they were made by dutch companies.

I do remember that "Garfield's A Tail of Two Kitties" for the DS that was made by a dutch developer Two Tribes, who come from my neighbourhood. Every day I drive past their office. http://www.twotribes.com/
Whoa, I just read ontheir website that they also did Worms: Open Warfare 2! Cool!
