New computer coming, is ps3 emulation possible?

I have a new laptop coming in the mail and am curious if it would be able to emulate the PS3 at 1080 at stable fps (I know many games can't run at the res well but for the ones that do). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07THN4VB9/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 this is the laptop I decided to buy. I chose a laptop because of portability to help me with college work/in between classes I can game a bit if I want.
Anyways I'm pretty sure I can run it well, but my last cpu an i7 7500hq couldn't so I'm not so sure.
Any thoughts on if it can?

its feels more like you want sneak in a pose, look at me and my nice little notebook. Anyway it should be as good as can be, if it still doesnt work properly then the emulation ist just not advanced enough yet

Just check this. RPCS3 is constantly being updated and if you can't run a game on it ten it's not compatible. Just check the compatibility list

It's a mid range laptop, it won't be hitting any speed records. If the cooling is good enough then it won't throttle too bad. You won't hit the 4.5ghz top speed when using RPCS3 as that speed is only for single threaded applications.

If the cooling is anything like my ROG Strix laptop prepare to hit 80+ on the GPU everytime you play anything graphically intensive. Looked at replacing the thermal compound and as soon as i removed the back I just closed it back up as it was too big a risk to take the heat pipes off.

Yeah, same with my dell g5. Lots of people talk online about changing thermal paste, delidding & undervolting.

I don't really game, so I decided that the three year warranty/accidental was more important.

I missed the 9750 by a couple of months, although it seems like it's barely any different in real world use. An RTX 2080 would have been nice, but nearly a year later and Dell aren't shipping them here (even though they assemble them all in china)

With the i7-7700hq CPU i have i can't delid it (not that I'd want to) but i wanted to replace the stock thermal paste with liquid metal to try and bring the temps down a bit.

The problem is the CPU and GPU share the same heatpipes but have a fan each

Even sat on a fan pad with 5 fans in it I still routinely hit 85-88 on the GPU when playing the new CoD.

I did manage to reduce the temps a couple of degrees using compressed air blowing the dust out when I had it open but that's about it.

If you apply liquid metal the cooling gets a lot better and you can get higher clocks with less fan speed.
With my t440p it's a lost casuse though as the cooling solution they came up with is basically worthless.

This is the cooling system in the GL-703V and there are at least 10 screws holding it all together with 3 of them being spring loaded and I'dd rather not start messing undoing all that. Benefits don't outweigh the risk

Ah thanks guys. I am able to play ps3 just fine actually, but wasn't sure (these cpu numbers still confuse me a bit).
Everything runs super great except every now and then I get some textures popping in, but totally worth it cuz of how nice it looks (especially with that higher resolution)
Time to play Drakengard 3 and some Demon Souls on PC
New Thermal PAste seems like a cool idea too
