Hacking new 3DS xl cfw

Hello,
I've been going through the threads and I'm completely lost not sure where to start.

I have a new 3DS XL with firmware 11.4.0.

Can anyone recommend a easy tutorial to follow.

tldr you will need a second fully hacked 3ds.

Or wait until ntrboothax is released. Will need a DS flashcart with this though and powersaves.

Like @zoogie said, you'll need another 3ds that's already hacked. Both systems need to be on 11.5. If you don't want the other system permanently updated to 11.5, make sure you back up your NAND before you update so that you can restore the lower firmware when the system transfer is complete. Also, you'll need to purchase a $2 game from the eShop. And a word of warning, all of this takes a long time to do. Plan on it consuming your entire evening. I just did one yesterday, let me know if you have any trouble.

If you dont have any other system (hardmod) - hard way
