Hacking New 3ds update problem

Why you have this inside the "Nintendo 3DS" folder? it should only be a folder with a bunch random characters and numbers and a folder name private.

that's the problem, i have absolutely no idea why that shit is in there

Think @TurdPooCharger is talking about this, but normally this only applies to people that are on 11.7 CFW update to 11.8 without updating Luma3DS to 9.1.

Please put boot.firm from luma 9.1 on root of your SD and try to boot it (as suggested in the first place)

I told you before exactly how. Copy boot.firm from to root of your SD.

Select show nand or user string in setting and press start to save the setting.

Did you buy your 3DS used or from someone else? You need to familiarize yourself with the 3DS custom firmware. Please read this guide, provided in Italian of course.

Edit - Your system is already hacked. You just need to figure out how to use homebrew features and applications if you intend to try them.

true as i said i never doubted your advice just the info provided in the op . . . things would be simpler for him if knew what he had . . . perhaps he could have done a quick google search and never even needed this thread . . . long story short its best to educate not just bandage

I'm running into the same problem my 3ds has homebrew fbi etc the bigger problem is that i have no clue how to update luma and how to get it to load on the "failed to apply 1 firm patch" black screen i hope you have some advice for me please as my 3ds was bought already hacked all i know how to do is use free e store i hope i can get this fixed as it's my only 3ds thank you all

You need to place the boot.firm from Luma3DS 9.1 on the root of your SD card
