I bought a used New3DS and followed a well known guide to install boot9strap and Luma3DS custom firmware. The system is working normally in 3DS-mode, but in DS mode, the touch screen seems to be broken.
The touch screen doesn't respond at all in DS mode. I have tried to use TWiLight Menu++ and the "Nintendo DS" Network settings in the 3DS settinsg menu, but no response from the touch screen.
However, from what I have found out with my old AceKard flashcard: all screen presses are mapped to the place at the very bottom right of the screen.
When I press the 3DS home button, the tuch screen works as intended and I can use the touchscreen to exit the DS mode application.
So, I don't think this is an hardware issue and rather some kind of broken DS mode.
What I have tried so far to fix the issue:
* Try to restore DS mode as mentioned here: recover-ds-mode-after-an-nvram-brick-eg-after-using-a-ds-bricker.516444
* TWL-Fix with TWLFix-CFW 3dsx
* Try to calibrate DS screen with DSCalibrate.nds
Unfortunately, none of these fixed my issue. Do you have any suggestion on what else I could try?
I think, the DS mdoe is kinda messed up, so I would like to flash a fresh firmware to get back to defautl settings. But a clean flash isn't possible for a 3DS, right?
Any help is highly appriciated. Thank your very much.
