Hacking New 3DS System Transfer + Flashcard Options

I have just bought a new 3ds which comes with 9.0 firmware on and I also have a 3ds xl with 9.4 firmware on it but I am wanting to transfer all of my old ambassador games etc to the new 3ds but I realise this would upgrade the firmware to the latest and I wouldn't be able to utilise a gateway card when the new update comes out.

I would love it if you guys could let me know what options I have as I understand I could potentially get a sky3ds card on the newest firmware or is there any tricks involving emunand that can be done to transfer my games without updating the system?

So I guess you'll have to decide: Do you want to keep your Ambassador games? OR do you want to have access to Ninjhax and run Emulators for your retro gaming need? If Ambassador, update to 9.4, do the transfer and purchase a Sky3ds. If Emulators, stay on 9.0, purchase either Gateway or Sky3DS and install Ninjhax.

So if the new 9.2 gateway firmware has the emunand thing am I still buggered because my system with all my purchases is on the newest firmware?

EmuNAND does support 9.4, but you will have to wait for native 9.0 support to come out. I do believe transferring to emuNAND will work (someone should double check me on that), but if Nintendo releases another firmware before that time, you will need to wait for the Gateway team to support the higher firmware in emuNAND.

In your situation, I HIGHLY recommend that you don't update your New 3DS just for the sake of your Ambassador games. I'm sure most can agree that would be a huge waste.

Just got home and checked and my original 3ds xl is also on 9.0 so I take it I can use emunand when they release the gateway 9.2 update if they release emunand support? Also I have decided to not update the new 3ds regardless of getting my old ambassador games on just incase but will do it only if possible :-)

Just wait until Gateway new update.
Yes you can transfer to emunand but doesn't mean you can play your Ambassador GBA games, it all depends on the exploit they are using.
Its rumoured it will support GBA games though.

I'm in the same situation as you i got a 9.2 3DS XL with over 60 games and a 9.0 N3DS XL ... i am going to wait like all for the GW update n see my options then.

One option will be getting pirated CIA of all my games and install those and sell my old 3DS XL with all the legit games still in it.

I'd advise against doing that. It's linked to your Nintendo Network ID, so if you keep the games on there when you sell it, they can access the eShop and Miiverse as if they were you.

If you want to wipe your Nintendo Network ID before you sell it, the games are deleted with it.

Ok so gateway 3ds has just launched and support for new 3ds is supposed to be coming within about a week so I have a couple of questions about transferring all my currently bought games to my new console:

Both my 3ds and new 3ds are on firmware 9.0 and I would like to transfer my eshop games plus ambassador games from the old 3ds to the new 3ds

Is it possible to transfer these games over to the new 3ds and have them work on sysnand or will they only work on emunand?

I here emunand does not support gba games etc so if it is emunand only then I won't be able to play these games?

Is there a way to transfer things on emunand to the sysnand on the same system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
