Tolerances. Don't worry about it.

The DS lite got cracks in the hinges because the gap was too tight.

Lots of things for me to tolerate. Dead(may be stuck?)pixel. Dual TN. Now the hinge.

Well take it back if it bothers you.
It's very common though and most people don't consider 1 mm of hinge wiggle a defect.

I wouldn't tolerate a dead pixel though so I understand you there. Everybody has some "pet peeve" about hardware defects.

I think the pixel may be stuck. How can I play the flashing colours video on the bottom screen? YouTube only allows the top screen.
