Hardware New 3DS defective?

My New 3DS XL almost gave me a heart attack.
I turned it on, the power light was blue and the wi-fi light turned on,
but nothing appeared on screen. I tried waiting, but nothing.
I dunno why, but I had the idea of opening it, taking the battery off,
putting it on again and turn it on to see if it had any effect, and to my good surprise it worked,
it's now working fine, at least for now.
Have any of you experienced this?

I've experienced an occasional freeze if I press the power button and open/close the lid at the same time but other than that no. Are you hard modded or installed an CIA to Sysnand?

Nope, I never installed a CIA or used a custom FW.

You can just hold down the power button for like 10 seconds (sometimes you need to press it 2-3 times for some reason) it will turn off, then you can press it again to power on. No need to remove the battery at all...

When I press power button, I have to press 2 times so it can turn off or turn on. Also have anybody got a problem with the screen? Last night, when I was playing Rhythm tendoku the best plus, the main screen was like it has a wave but it was just a little.
