Hardware New 2DS XL battery drain when turned off

Hi,

I've got a New 2DS with battery drain when powered off.
Battery goes from 100% to 0% in 4-5days.
I've tried a new battery (third party) and an official battery from my other working New 2DS (with no drain and good battery life) and it's still draining.

I've heard of wifi chip causing this issue but on this model, it's soldered so harder to replace. (I'm not sure if I can even find replacement part)

Any idea what I can check next ?

Do you have a cart of anything left inserted in the 3ds?

No cart, only sd card with luma3ds. I can try to remove sd card and see if it keep draining.

I have a New Nintendo 3DS (not XL) and I am experiencing the same issue. The battery drains fast, just like your New 2DS. I have had other 2DS and 3DS models, but this has never happened before.

I have a New 3ds aswell, and battery never drain, even if i don't use it for a year.
I hope it's not wifi chip because it's also soldered on New 3ds.

Under normal circumstances, the monthly power consumption of 2DS XL after shutdown should be less than 3%. If it exceeds this value, troubleshooting is required.
System software problem

The background process is not completely closed, or there is a vulnerability in the system firmware.

Troubleshooting method:

Update the system to the latest version (Settings → Other Settings → System Update).

Try to restore the factory settings (after backing up data: Settings → Other Settings → Format → Restore Factory Settings).

Hardware circuit leakage

The power management chip (PMIC) or motherboard component failure causes a small current consumption after shutdown.

Troubleshooting method:

After completely shutting down (press and hold the power button for 10 seconds), let it stand for 24 hours. If the power drops by more than 5%, there may be a hardware problem.
