hey
can I play NES games on DS Lite?
I am going to be getting Superkey and Supercard Lite, if this helps.

thx

There are currently DS 5 nes emulators available and a whole bunch of GBA ones, only two DS ones I would suggest using are NesDS and its modified version and for the GBA either pocketnes (or a mod thereof) or HVCA (which just got updated by the way).
NesDS:

Modified NesDS

New/Not suggested:

NesterDS:
http://www.telefragged.com/thefatal/index....t=inc_si_ds.htm
(there is another but it is not released yet, consult the sticky in the DS emulation forum)

GBA emulation:
Pocketnes (I am afraid you will have to search for modified versions):
http://hem.passagen.se/flubba/gbadown.html
HVCA (Japanese emulator, supports more mappers and FDS games. Pocketnes is probably better though):

Here is some setup intstructions I grabbed from a post by DjKaos over at dcemu:
Decompress.
Move all the files from \bin\split\mapr to \bin\split
Open \bin\merge.bat in Notepad
Find the line that says set HVCA_ARGV=-b split/hvcabase.bin hvca.bin split/mapper*.bin split/font*.raw and change mapper*.bin to m*.bin
Copy all your roms to \bin - make sure to copy disksys.rom too if you have any Famicom Disk System roms
Run "merge.exe"
Choose 4 : other or unknown
Rename hvca.bin to hvca.gba
Copy hvca.gba to your flashcard

The following article on the pocketheaven wiki may be of interest too: http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Hvca

accualy since you use a supercard you can just put the roms onto the supercard and play em cause the supercard has a intergrated nes emulator

yes it is, drop the rom and a 64k .sav file of the same name together on you're mem card and just play.

To save..

1) Save in game as normal
2) Hold (L+R) to get to the pocketnes menu and then save the savestate.
3)return to game and use the (L+R+Select+A) to save to supercard.

When you next load the nes rom, start the game then hold (L+R) to get the pocketnes menu and choose to load savestate

edit.. if you look in the folder you're SC client is installed to, you will see a ready made "NesFileName.sav" save file, you can copy and re-name this to match you're nes rom (keep the .sav extension obviously)

This blows my mind, but I'm skeptical.

EDIT: I shant doubt you again.
