The new wireless NES controllers for switch are out.
More info on them here: https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/special-offers/

So I obviously don't want to use them on switch... well I actually do but in addition to that:
I want to use them on the NES Classic: https://www.nintendo.com/nes-classic

The NES classic has no Bluetooth or support. So I have turned to 3rd party adapter to try and remedy this.
The 8bitdo classic receiver: http://www.8bitdo.com/retro-receiver-nes/

This unfortunately doesn't work as the NES wireless controller will not pair up with the adapter...

Firmware tried on 8bitdo receiver: 1.12 and 1.13

If anyone has these controllers working on the NES classic. I would love to learn how you did it! Whether it be a different firmware or perhaps a different adapter.

Thanks!

The retro receiver doesn't seem to work with Switch controllers as far as I can tell. Works with mostly everything else though.
Edit: Looks like since v1.06 it should support JoyCons and Pro Controllers. I guess the official NES controllers don't act as either of those. You'll have to wait and hope it's updated to support them.
