I've recently done A9HL and Luma's using Plailect's guide, no issues there but my micro sd card is a bit on the small side 32gb, I've brought a 128gb micro sd to swap, my question is, is it a matter of copying the contents from the 32 to the 128 or is their like the cfw's on sd's that I need to copy a partion?

Just copy your SD content to the new one. I recently change mine from 4GB to 8GB recently.

Format the 128GB card to FAT32 first, then copy over the contents of the old card.

This. I just emphasized the very important part you will probably disregard and forget about.

If you have emunand9 on your old SD you can boot that and switch it out for your 128 GB one and format it in emunand9 so it's formatted in the correct way and after that just copy paste all files from your old SD
