I have only had my GC controller for just over 3 weeks, and all of a sudden it's stopped working. There is nothing wrong with the console, and the controller is first party.

There is some dust in the ports, if anyone thinks this is the problem then please say so. None of the buttons work. I have tried it with multiple apps and emulators. I mainly tested it in nintendont, though. I have also reinstalled ios 56 as nintendont needs an unpatched version, but that wasn't the problem as it is still occuring. Wii is running the latest version of system firmware.

As always, thanks a lot for your help.

Nintendont uses IOS 58, not 56, but that shouldn't affect the GC ports. Did you try a different one? It could be the controller itself.

I have just tried another controller, and the first controller works fine in another wii that my friend has. I'm pretty sure it's a software/hardware problem at this point.

It turns out that it is a fake first party controller, there are not triwing screws and the nintendo gamecube logo is fake. If anyone is looking for why their controller is not working, then check for triwing screws if you think it is first party. IDK why it was working on my friends wii, but either way i'll trade in a old 3ds game that i have and get one from eb games and get a first party controller, for sure this time.

i have a fake wireless controller for almost 1 year now works perfect on pc emulator but also on the real wii
