After a six month hiatus, my Wii U won't boot past the logo screen when I turn it on. The Gamepad shows the same screen. The logo is in the center, not the corner. The Gamepad also plays the boot up jingle on repeat, indefinitely. The quick start menu will load it I power on the gamepad first, but will change to the Wii U logo after I start anything.
I called Nintendo and was advised to send it in for $120. I would like to save that as my last resort. This Wii U has never been hacked, but my Wii U that has been hacked works perfectly. I love that.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Is there some sort of peripheral I can buy that will factory reset the Wii U? I'm willing to look into any possible solution...just, the less I have to spend, the better.
