Hacking Need help. Using DS wireless communication on modded 3DS causes crashing issues

Hello, I have this problem with my modded 3ds. It is completely unable to run wireless communications on DS games. Doing so will cause the game to crash.

I tried googling for solutions but wasn't able to find any.

I tested using various games, both legit and roms from R4 cart. List of games tested are:
-Pokemon Diamond (legit)
-Pokemon Platinum (legit)
-Pokemon Black (legit)
-Pokemon Soul Silver (Legit)
-Pokemon Platinum (R4)
-Mario Kart (R4)
-Mega Man Star Force 3 Black Ace (legit)

All of them crash when trying to use wireless communication. For Pokemon Diamond/Platinum/SoulSilver, I can't even get into the game past the start menu.

I don't think it is the 3DS itself which is the problem, as I had previously used it together with my old DS lite to transfer Pokemon from Diamond to Black version before installing CFW, so CFW is the only thing I can think of which could be causing the problem.

It can't be the games either, as I have tested them on my brother's unmodded 3ds as well as on my DS lite, and they work fine. I modded my 3ds around March~April, when Plailect's guide procedure was very different, using AuReiNand firmware, not sure if it could be because it's too outdated or something?

Lastly, wireless and wifi on 3DS games both work fine. It's just DS games which crash.

Edit: also note, I tried reinstalling TWL_firm as instructed here https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Troubleshooting but it didn't work either

Your router, is it set to WEP?
DS can only handle WEP. DSi games can handle WPA.

Or go into connection settings under system settings and set up your DS connection there. I'm sure you've done this though, just in case.

Though I would guess the games would show an error if it couldn't connect rather than crashing your 3ds.

It's not wifi which causes the problem though. Even local wireless causes the crash. The unmodded 3ds and ds lite can still go into those menus without internet connection, while the modded 3ds just crashes
