Android Need help rooting a VS840 4G 4.0.4 Android Phone

I found the ROM I want to use, but now I decided to come here first, considering there are quite a few of android users on the temp.

Yes, google is my friend but please help me out to confirm any process.

The phone is stock, unactivated and will NOT be on a Cell plan.

The link to it was kinda in that same thread you posted, you should've looked there first lol. The process from that thread should work just fine.

I probably should have clarified,
I'm looking for Gingerbread ZV5 or ZV6, but can't find it anywhere.
The links in that thread are broken too.
