I've been trying to find a way to convert an MCS save for Spyro 3 to a PSV save. Here's why:
I ended up running into the glitch in Spyro 3 where I couldn't get an egg in a speedway. I converted the PSV save to where I could play the save in ePSXe, got the Greatest Hits edition of Spyro 3 for it, and fixed my save. Now I just need the save back on my PS3, and the only method I've found involves me needing a hacked PSP, which I no longer have. >.<
Would somebody be willing to convert the save for me?

QUOTE said:This is a guide for converting PS1 saves, PC -> PS3.
For this, you'll need:
- The PC format save you want to convert.
- MemcardRex.
- A modded PSP with a USB cord.
- CWCheat (with Memory Card support).
- A PS1 game in PSP format.
- A PC format save for that PS1 game (we'll call it "dummy save").
- A PS3.
- A USB flash drive (I don't know if the PSP can act as a storage device for receiving PS3 saves without them being converted)(Also note that this is only needed if you intend to transfer the freshly converted save back to the computer again).
1) Open the dummy save in MemcardRex and make sure there's an open slot available (or as many slots as the save you want to convert is). Take note of the Game ID of the save belonging to the PS1 game on your PSP that you'll be using.
2) Load the save onto the memory card, then save the memory card as an ePSXe save (.mcr).
3) Rename the memory card to match the Game ID of the save noted earlier (the format needs to be "Sxxx_xxxxx-1.mcr", minus the quotes).
4) Plug in the PSP to the computer and enable the USB connection, then put the renamed save in the "mc" folder for CWCheat (which is in the "seplugins" folder).
5) Disable the USB and start up your PS1 game on it.
6) Before getting to any memory card screen, go into CWCheat's menu (hold Select for 3 seconds), and enter the Memory Card screen.
7) Press Right on the D-pad to select the "-1.mcr" save (which is yours), and hit X to load it (it should say "OK!" if loaded correctly).
8) Go back to the game and load your save normally, then save immediately (doesn't *have* to be immediate, but why would you want to start playing when you're halfway through this?), and quit the game after a successful save.
9) Plug your PSP into the PS3 and transfer the save you want converted onto the PS3 (it should be on the card labeled as the PS1 game you just used on the PSP). You'll have to create a virtual memory card to hold it if you don't have one created already, and upon transfer the PS3 will automatically convert it to PS3 format.
