Hey gbatemp, I'm having a bit of trouble modifying the movable.sed in a new 3ds to match that of my new 2ds xl. I'd like to be able to use my SD card with all my software and saves across both systems.

At first I thought it would be as simple as swapping out the one on the 3ds, with a copy of the one I had in the 2ds. But alas in doing so the unit no longer boots to anything but an error message.

So I went ahead and put the original file back on. And sure enough it boots up fine.

Looking deeper into this, it seems movable.sed files aren't quite so plug and play, and need to be modified in a hex editor before the 3ds will recognize them and boot up.

The only problem being; I'm not sure what needs to be changed, in what way...

(Also I heard somewhere that messing with movable.sed incorrectly can get you banned if you go online. Is this true? Because if so, that's information I would like to know more about)

Any help is appreciated, cheers!
