Gaming Need a GPU replacing a Nvidia GTX 295

What is a worthy replacement for this card I want some thing more powerful that can do Direct X 11 also. I dont want to do SLI just want a single GPU.

socket 423? with a gtx 295?? you should check your things a bit more before posting.

I'm gonna assume that the gtx 295 and the evga mobo part is right (and disregard the socket 423 part) and tell you to look at this article from tom's hardware ( Best graphics cards for the money: February 2012): http://www.tomshardw...eview,3107.html

If you take a look at the last page (hierarchy chart) you'll see that the only cards that represent an upgrade (in terms of performances) are the gtx 580, HD 5970;7950;7970.
The gtx 590 and the hd 6990 are dual gpu on a single card like the gtx 295.

You say that you don't want a sli solution, did you have any problems with your card?

Socket 423 is the type of processor.

Edit I picked up a GTX 580. 590 is sold out and cost way too much.

socket 423 refers to a first generation p4, that socket was short lived for multiple reason and intel was highly criticized for using RamBus ram on that platform. the socket 478, the successor, used cheaper ddr memory like amd used.

the evga board you posted has a 1366 pin socket for first gen i7 processor (also a short lived socket)

also, you state that you don't want sli, yet you have a dual gpu card that actually does sli internally and you even considered the 590,
Did you enabled sli in the driver?
