Here's the situation... my step dad really likes my eeePC and he wanted to get one, but a CD/DVD reader is essential for his line of work. I don't think it matters if it can burn CDs/DVDs... I think he just needs it to read them. I tried telling him to just get an eeePC and an external CD/DVD writer/reader, but he's really new to computers and says he doesn't want to bother with that stuff. He needs it to be built in.
The netbook/laptop will be used for Skype and checking his emails, so it doesn't have to be top-of-the-line. I would say the requirements are:
-Must be cheap
-Must have a built-in camera for Skype usage.
-Must have a CD/DVD reader (writer is a plus)
-Good battery life is a plus
-Big screen is a plus, though he's fine with a 10" screen.
The most important requirements are the first three.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention... it has to be available at Amazon, cause I still have the free 2 day shipping, and my step dad is leaving next week.
