Hacking Nds Lite or Nds

DS Lite:
Pros:
You can play it in sunlight.
You can get more peripherals.
The Mic seems to better placed.
Nice and slim.
Stylus has a better slot.
Buttons don't make a clicky noise.
Looks cooler.
Less cramp while playing games that use D-Pad and stylus at the same time.

Cons:
D-pad doesn't seem as good as Phat DS
GBA Games stick out.
A lot of people complain about the casing snapping, having cracks in them and also the hinge seems less durable.
Start and select are in a silly place.
Clicky L & R Buttons.
£10 more.

DS Phat.
Pros:
Better L & R buttons, they don't click either.
D-pad seems better when have to do directional movements
GBA games don't stick out.
Very durable, I've dropped my Phat tons of times and only have a few scratches to show for it.
Start and Select are in a better place.

Cons:
Nintendo Camera and that slidey control thing apparently don't work.
Mic is in a stupid place.
Playing in sunlight is akin to being fisted by an elephant.
Too bulky.
Doesn't look as good.
Not as many peripherals as the DS.
Not as many cases seem to be made for it.
Cramp while playing games that use D-Pad and stylus at the same time.

Overall, DS Lite is a better buy and worth the extra £10 quid but be careful with it.

The Lite's corners crack easily and it gets dirt easily trapped in the edges. I have suffered both of these and the left corner on mine looks crap but I still prefer it any day over the phat.

for me i think the phat is good since... i live in a country where u cannot fix the DS so if it is damaged there is nothin i can do so i need durability
I won't be able to buy extra peripherals since it's not sold here and i won't be using the mic for many games either but the DS is one time buy becuz i am importing it through someone who comes here after a very long time and cannot send it (reasons many)
And finally it's cheaper obviously but i feel the brightness is really necessary but the other things somehow give the phat an upperhand.
If u are talking about design well i already have to boast that i actually HAVE the DS whereby some but infact most people don't even know what it is and i have taken the pop to be only gamers... so that's enough "cool" for me
Thanks everyone really helped me to understand the difference but still will consider which to buy it depends on the buyer (not me)

i personally live in Tanzania ... Africa but the one buying lives in perth so it is difficult here
