This is more of a "are you interested" kind of thread. But with recent changes in the emulation world and compiling a few things together, most games run at 60fps now! If users are interested, I was so seeing if anyone would be interested in a thread explaining how this is being done? Even Conkers Bad Fur day hasn't hit below 58.5fps with 2 hours of straight gameplay.

I don't think there is any reason for a poll. Everyone is stoked on N64 emulation and any improvements we can get through configurations should be documented here.

Before lantus released surreal64 for the Xbox we spent weeks testing every single game and configuring it to optimal performance prior to public release.

That's the nice thing about static builds.

My thread, my poll. Not really worth criticizing If you ask me.

Man I wish most N64 games ran at 60 fps instead of 20/30 with heavy slowdown.

have you tried m4xw's cores? Most roms run silky smooth with a 1080 x 720 resolution and with framebuffer on. Zelda is extremely nice with Hi-res texture packs too, Conker runs nice and smooth too for the most part.

Some N64 games do run at 60 fps naturally, but games forced to run 60 fps look off to me, IMO.
what do you mean by off exactly? I have been wondering about the fps counter too... Zelda at 60 fps seems no different then the original fps, which I believe was at 20 or so...

Someone know how to quit that White box on the upper left?

Does animal forest run now? Last time i tried the pause menu was broken and thats really needed for that game.

That's the emulator VI/s (vertical interrupts/second), not FPS.
That's mostly because some games like super mario 64 when modded to 60fps, have wonky collision because it's intended to run at 30 (initially if a modder puts enough time into it, it can be corrected) in other words, things break when they are put to a higher fps sometimes. So i believe what your seeing is a case where some 60fps modded games have only the character animations, or a certain amount of things pushed into 60fps, while others are still in there 30fps originals, running in a environment that is 60fps...
This isn't as complicated as I making it sound, I just lack the ability to explain well.

No, I know what you mean, it looks unnatural to me.

We need a sort of compatibility list for mupen64plus core because it's hard to have games running at fullspeed, we have to adjust config for each game
