Hacking N64 Emulator for Gamecube?

I saw a couple of "ports" for Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, etc to Gamecube, but is there an actual emulator that will allow me to load ROMs onto one disc and play them like the available NES, SNES, etc emulators?

And how do they go about making these "ports"? Is it something that a normal person can do, or do you need extensive knowledge and hacking experience?

you create a .iso from the zelda collector's edition game for the gamecube.

then you open it with a tool called gc-tool 1.2 and you can replace the .n64 zelda rom file with one of your own.
actually all the vc games work using this way: mario 64, mariokart, starfox etcetera...

If you want the gamenames in gcos you have to hexedit the names otherwise you get the same name for every game on your dvd. From the Mario games only super mario 64 and mario kart 64 work but as I said before they don't save so you can't go far with super mario 64. Mario kart 64 multiplayer works perfect so I should go for that game. Thats all I have to say about the emus. You don't have to make one yourself, you can also search for torrents because there's one that has mario kart 64 and super mario 64 combined into one burnable cd with a decent download speed. But that's your choice.
