Hacking N3DS 9.5 Uses?

My girlfriend just got a N3DS and unfortunately it's on 9.5.0-22U firmware. Is there anything that can be done with Gateway or something on this?

I currently have an O3DS on 4.5 and a N3DS on 9.0 that are both modded, could those help in anyway?

I think you can use the ram editors to mod games like pokemon and Animal crossing but that's about it.

Could I possibly get Youtube on there to get something started? If so would I need to update to the newest firmware to get Youtube? I don't want to update but I don't know if there is a difference between 9.5 and 9.9. Thanks for any help.

if you have ironfall or youtube on the 3ds you can stay on 9.5 but other than that you might aswell go to 9.9 since nothing really works o n that firmware.
