Is it possible that FreeShopNX uses your console's real certificate during the download process? It just hasn't been banned yet, we now know their response now.

If so, that'd explain a lot.
https://github.com/AnalogMan151/FreeShopNX/blob/master/Sources/UI.h#L191I haven't looked, but if so then that means it risks your own cert.
yes you areJust downloaded from CDN using freeshopNX. I’m just hoping that I wasn’t using my own cert somehow all this time
yes you are
so if nintendo bans the cert youre effed
It is using your device certEh, if they ban me they ban, but for all I know freeshop should be using the banned certificate that i had in the folder
Was that mentioned anywhere in the docs, because if it wasn't then that's pretty effed up too. I guarantee most people who used it would've expected it to be using one of those banned certs like cdnsp. It is using your device cert
I know because I asked the developer himself on discord
It's true, but people don't wanna get in trouble, we all love the temp, I try and give a hint if I see something like that going on (if I know what it is, took me a while to figure out the "dark" site). It's not against the rules to give a hint. It seems weird that people are trying to deliberately not share information.
