Hacking My DS makes a creaking sound when opened...

Recently my NDS Lite has been making a creaking sound when its opened, but i have no idea whats wrong with it. I've been very careful with it and have never dropped it or damaged it in anyway. Anyone know what's the problem with my DS?

Same thing with mines but I have the PHAT DS.

Is it one of the launch white DS Lites? There was a problem with them where the hinge would be messed up and eventually it would crack. Apparently other color DS Lites have the same problem sometimes. If it is within warranty you should open and close it a few hundred times until it fails and send it in.

I dont wanna kill it, and this DSL is brand new...

I was somewhat joking.

But it is really best that it fails within the warranty. How long has it been since you bought it? If it has only been a few days I would take it to the store and swap it. If it is new and making 'bad noises' now then it will probably get worse as time goes on. Creaking isn't a good sound. My year old DS Lite doesn't make a noise at all when I open it still.
