Hacking My console somehow updated to 9.00?!

Sitting there in the middle of a game, and the game crashed with a message saying "an error occurred with the system software".
I checked the system settings, and the console is now sitting on 9.00.
I was using Al Azifs DNS and disabled updates via payload. This console somehow still updated itself.

Has this happened to anybody else?!

I'm looking online and it's still stating the latest firmware is 8.03.

This has me completely baffled right now.

I think Leeful's does it when coming back from rest mode.

I've never used VR yet. But yeah, I constantly have the console in rest mode, and have taken it out of rest mode numerous times. This time though, while in-game, the game crashed displaying a message "an error occured with the system software"
Checked and I see 9.00. Also, the debug settings disappeared.

If this is normal behavior, I cannot tell you how relieved I am haha

I noticed at the bottom of Leeful's host that it literally says "PS4 spoofed to firmware 9.00"

Welp, that's enough irrational fear for one day.

it doesn't. the exploits don't stick when you turn the system off anyway.
