Whenever i press the damn power button it goes BEEP BEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP and at the same time the CPU makes more and more noise... and then eventually both sounds die down. the CPU's (green)light is on, but my monitor isn't.

no calling for technician pl0x, my father says its an old computer, i dont even know how oldit is, it was from someone we know)

5 beeps means a processor failure. These beeps are to tell the user what error it found during the POST.

Make sure everything is connected properly internally. Take out the ram and put it back in etc.

Nice list...

And iPikachu, you're sure you didn't just turn on the heart monitor?

just turn it on, count the beeps and listen if they are long or short.

then go here and look in the list what's wrong.
Wow, I never knew about that, that's actually pretty cool to know...

have you never wondered why computers beep before?

its not just because they feel like it

hahaha

there trying to communicate

most people do go AHHH! when it does tho

its not trying to scare you its just screaming out because of pain

I've used that quiet a lot, i've got 2 old computers (one 8 years, the other 7) and they beep quiet often. Both of them have only few parts working. I really need to get a new computer
