I live in the uk, a PAL region and im currently playing the US NTSC version of MW3 as MW3 comes out tomorrow for us. Is it worth it to switch to PAL and are there any differences like lag improvement or anything?
well, theres a bit of lag shooting, but i don't know if it's an issue with the game itself or with me being from a different country?
so if i switch to PAL, i will most likely be paired up with other PAL region users and improve the gameplay? or will it not have an effect?
They don't patch retail Wii games, only wiiware games. It's not actually possible to do so as far as I'm aware.played both the uk release and the ntsc one from the uk online.
both have shit hit dectection. maybe this will improve when more pal players are online i dunno.
You are best off getting the game for the same region as your wii, My reasons for this is because if they ever patch it (which they should) i think your wii shop channel has to be the same region as the game for patches.

piwiki: Your loader almost assuredly automatically forces the video mode of the NTSC game into PAL... so no, there probably wouldn't be any difference.
Are you sure? I'm also in PAL territory playing on a NTSC version and don't know if I should start over on a PAL version of the game. I'm worried that there might be some problems with downloading patches and whatnot if i stay on the NTSC version. There is no difference between the two versions. The game is region free, so you will be able to play against other PAL players. In Black Ops, I played with a lot of Euro people and I was using the NTSC version. Region has absolutely nothing to do with quality. As for the lag shooting, hopefully a patch will fix that...
i think the lighting is the same for both. Too dark!I found the fonts a little meh, and the lightlevels a bit low on the NTSC, I'm trying a PAL dvd now. The fonts are still meh, I kinda think the lightlevels are higher, but maybe I'm full o shit. I'll post again later.
Is the data on the disk the same either way?
Cheers,
