Gaming MvC 3 DLC

My copy of MvC 3 is region 3 (Asia)
I updated it and it tells me that there's this new Shadow Battle mode.
I then log in to my US PSN account and download that Shadow battle thing.
It shows up the Online Menu.

Question:
Aren't DLC region-specific?
What would happen If I buy either Jill or Shuma-Gorath?
would they show up?

PS3 is asian btw

dlc is region specific so if u wanted to buy jill or shuma-gorath u needa go to the asian psn, which ever one that is.
