If you really want to listen to music while playing ROMs, I suggest you get a carton of cheap chinese MP3 players, or if you actually wants something that lasts longer than an hour, get an iPod.

You could just use Moonshell...

Moonshell doesn't allow for multitasking either though.

The DS has no underlying operating system like the PSP does, so once one rom is loaded, it has full and complete control over the entire system. There's no way to run two *.nds files at the same time.

The possibility exists, but the application would have to be extremely cpu-lite.
Ever tried to browse files while playing music in Moonshell?
