Hacking Mset exploit on N3ds?

What are you trying to set up? Maybe we can help. Not sure about the MSET exploit though.

Set A9LH+Luma for them and use Gateway as a payload? If Gateway is what you're trying to set up anyway .. Not sure what else it could be with mset exploit.

Tell him about the benefits of using CIAs/Freeshop. MSET/gateway is outdated and useless. (imo)

I'm not sure I follow. You could STILL setup Luma+A9LH for them and use Gateway as a payload .. You'd still be using Gateway flashcart, and you would never have to do anything with your CFW if you didn't want to.

If he doesn't use Gateway for cheats however, there's no excuse for wanting to use it. If the issue is emunand and that it's "safer", you could setup emunand for him.

Also I used to use Gateway on my N3DS XL so Mset exploit definitely works on it. Don't ask me how tho, but there are guides out there anyway.

Yes but you can just use raw a9lh for that and save ~90$

I think that telling him the fact you can play online with CIA's without doing anything could be already enough to convince him to move to the master race. Sure you can do that with Gateway too, but injecting private headers and what have you is annoying.

He already has the Gateway though, so it doesn't cost anything.

I think if the owner isn't familiar with hacking (I assume he isn't if he is asking you to help) then I would suggest against him using gateway anyway as even if you setup a9lh, gateway doesn't have any firm protection to block firm updates, that will result in a brick unless he uses emunand

unless he has a specific reason to be using gw then genuinely a9lh + luma is a safer option for him with less potential for screwups

gw does still have mset exploit for n3ds. i was using it until i moved to luma/a9lh.
