I've been looking at different Sandisk MS's at 8GB and I can't decide which to go for;

The 8GB Ultra II (15MB/s) ~110USD (swedish pricetag converted)

or the 41% more expensive Extreme III (30MB/s) ~180 USD (swedish pricetag converted)

Is the ultra II enough or should I go even higher? (15 --> 30 = 100% faster,

Can the PSP's card reader keep up with 30MB/s

(I think the speed applies for both read and write (15/15, 30/30))

Which one wwould you go for?

Damn. Those are both expensive as hell but if I were you I would go with the first one. I'm pretty sure that they would both run ISOs flawlessly since my fake $18 4GB Pro Duo off of DX with shit read/write speeds has run all of the ISOs I have tried on it so far.

I don't think it matters. I would go with the cheaper one. Write speed usually depends on how fast your computer is. Read speed can be changed it you overclock your psp... So I would save money since its not that important.

Thanks guys

Sweden is an expensive country, there's no question about it. But on the other hand we get free healthcare and other benefits

Shouldnt it be "200%" faster? And still, the price is reasonable, but i'd prefer getting the Ultra II because they still have the same capacity but just varying speeds.
Capacity is very important to me but speed still counts. And the bigger the MS, ideally it should be slower.
Although i have never tried using an 8gb MS, id get the Ultra II for starting..

15 -> 30 is either 100% (2x) faster, or 200% speed. Either way, twice as fast, providing that the device can use the increased speeds to its fullest potential. Somehow I don't think a PSP will actuall read twice as fast if the card is twice as fast.

Alas, I have been bested in thinking I was bested.
