mplayer wi port smb help

    Hiya, as you know mplayer wii port has smb feature. Files can only be viewed from C drive, however, I would like to know if it's possible to view and play files from a external source/harddrive connected to the pc (like F drive).

    Ah okay done.

    One other question, is there way to share the external harddrive on the network without having the pc turned on?

    No i wouldn't of thought so,not sure though. maybe test it and report back, also you could just plug the USB in the wii, and let mplayerwii or geexbox play from there.....just test [​IMG]

    Yes I've already thought of USB behind wii, any noob can do that. My router has a usb female port (the small one) for usb devices, could I use this somehow?
