1) MPlayer CE is (in my opinion) better (at every point)...like I said in my opinion..there's only one way to find it out for your Opinion..try both out...
2) At this point, or even forever, we can't and won't compare to xbmc...

I think there would be other Threads for this questions, instead of creating a new one...(like the mPlayer-CE-Thread in the Homebrew-Selection...)
