I'm new to this forum, so I apologize if this question has already been answered.
A couple of years ago, I used the Freakyforms deluxe exploit to run homebrew, but then I accidentally updated my console. I now have 11.14.0-46U. I wanna return to some 3DS homebrew, but now I fear that I might brick my system since I already used the FreakyHax exploit. Any suggestions on which route I should take?

Freakyhax works perfectly on 11.14. You only have to update your otherapp.bin payload. For U and J regions, the payload last changed when 11.7 was released; for E region, it changed with 11.10. (Don't use universal-otherapp; that is strictly used for installing boot9strap.)

Also, I don't know why you're on 11.14, since 11.15 is the most recent firmware.

While you can do more with CFW (that is, boot9strap+Luma), if Freakyhax has been working for you so far, there's no need to change things.

While you can keep using freakyhax, do yourself a favour and install b9s luma and hbl.
Most *hax entry points are prone to crashes in recent 3ds firmwares, as less RAM is available.

I don't have the latest firmware because I haven't used my 3ds in a while. But yeah, Freakyhax was ok. I mainly wanted to do some more emulation recently.

It's not like the amount of available RAM has changed between different versions of firmware. You can still do quite a bit with *hax, but sometimes you need to be careful to select an appropriate takeover target. It is certainly much easier to use boot9strap+Luma.
