in the wii manual it says that the wii can play movies in the photo channel and that it supports AVI and quicktime video files.

but when i put a movie on my sd card that is AVI it says that file is not supported.

what am i doing wrong ?

The conversion program should have a "save to" option (or "destination", or "target" or something similar); it's where the converted file is saved. Find that option, and choose your memory card as the target folder.

Or, find the converted file on your disk, and copy/paste it to your SD card.

Solution:

1) Buy a divx dvd player
2) ???
3) Profit

actually, though counter intuitive, buying a divx dvd player in addition to the wii I have already bought would probably reduce profits. Unlike the highly lucrative underpant gnome market, which experiences ample growth in the first quarter of every year.

actually getting a DivX player is not very expensive, got mine for $40USD. And then got the converter with the MPEG2 plugin for $60. So it cost me $100.
if you get two games, it costs about the same.

hmmm, used the wii video 9 and converted the video.... converted a .avi file.... but my wii says it does not recognise no file..... help?
