Mouse problems w8

Hi, I just installed windows 8 and now my mouse does not work. It worked fine on windows 7 but now it just won't work! Please help!!!

And by telling you Windows 8 should install the appropriate driver it means you don't have to do it manually.....

A usb mouse, but it seems like it's unpluggin itself all the time...

Try plugging it in a different USB port?

If its a generic mouse, it should work. If its a gaming mouse, try to download the driver from the manufacturer's site if they have one available.

Faulty cable/usb port.

Try using a different USB port as already suggested, and if the problem persists then throw away your mouse and get a new one.

use your arrow keys / tab etc to browse to the mouse settings and check there for it being disabled somehow.

Try on an entirely different hub. If you're plugging it into one bank of ports on the back, try another bank. Try front panel. Try a use hub. Is windows even recognizing ANY device being attached at all, even if it isn't working?

Yes it is recognizing the mouse but there is no response..

Okay, so I got like 5 mouses and one old dell mouse works and when I check under settings-change cpu settings-units then it says this mouse is an "optical mouse usb" and the one I´ve used before is a HID-compitable mouse. What´s the difference?

I don't think you should triple post, buddy. Just turn the power off, literally, and turn it back on, usually recovers all usb root hubs for me.

Looks like he's 12, then it's ok.
