Hardware More custom Joycon colors & Pro Controller Shells

So I've been speaking with the store on AliExpress that sells the custom switch stuff. According to them, they will have more colors coming out for the joycons, and will also be releasing things for the Pro Controller also.

They won't tell me what new colors are coming, just that they plan on having more colors out before xmas. And for the pro controllers, I'm pretty sure that the bottom "grips" on each side will have different colors to choose from (solid colors most likely, kind of like the splatoon pro controller). And the actual shells themselves for the Pro Controller should have some of the same colors that they have for the joycons (solid and translucent), and possibly colored A/B/X/Y buttons. Depending on cost, they may include colored d-pad/L/R/SL/SR buttons also, but I wouldn't count on those.

Did they by chance say when to expect the pro controller shells? I'd kill for an atomic purple pro controller.

They wouldn't say exactly, only "we hope to expect them soon for people to enjoy"

I get my clear transparent ones in the mail today so I will be joining the installation struggle lol
Kinda wish we could make a 3 color custom order including the back-shell

I'd kill for an atomic purple pro controller.

Same here, reminds me of the N64 days when you'd get the basic black system with the grey controller, and the Atomic Purple controller as an added bonus!

I've actually done a couple with 2 colors. Here's clear with neon battery pieces.

Oh I mean the colored transparent shells instead of having to buy a full set of 1 color in a order.
Say if I wanted to buy the left joycon(watermelon red), right joycon(Icey blue), and then a (Atomic purple)back shell
I was gonna buy two colors but decided not to spend alot of money just to use 1 colored joycon shell. That picture is interesting reminds me when ppl used to put LEDS inside clear transparent consoles

Ah ok, yeah I do wish they had more choices. There could definitely be some cool looking combos. Personally I would love a white set, red middle, white back, with all red buttons. It can be done on the left joycon, but I can't get all red buttons for the right joycon.

I've actually had people ask me if I could add LED's to the joycons. I personally don't mess with soldering, but even if I did, I don't think there is enough room in there to add LED's.

I don't think there is enough room in there to add LED's.

Only place I can think of is the empty space where the battery cable and vibration motor connect to the board. There's *just* enough room.
