im trying to use moonshell2 (the latest stable) on my r4ultra (apparently an acekardrpg clone with microsdhc) but when playing dpg videos it tends to freeze if i seek on the touch screen, pause, press ANYTHING, or sometimes it will always freeze at one certain point in a video! im not really sure why this is happening and i only got an error message from moonshell2 once telling me to check the logbuf (which i did to no avail)

please help me

SUPER sucks. Since SUPER converts to DPG2. And DPG2 is outdated the one that comes with Moonshell 2.05 converts to DPG4.

oook im using the one that came with moonshell2 i find it also freezez often when loading the next file. btw i dont think ysmenu would work on an akrpg clone would it??

There's two things I can think of that would cause this.

1: Your microSD is badly formatted/too slow, like, too small of a cache, wrong formatting type.
2: It's because you're using an R4 Ultra, isn't that a fake R4? There's no guarantee those things are reliable!

I used to have problems with video back on Moonshell 1.7 though, when playback wasn't as good as it is now, but when those videos froze it was always the same ones when the video finished, but it didn't display any sort of error.

You're not getting the error with any particular videos are you?

yes, actually all videos CAN freeze if i seek or something but some videos ALWAYS freez at certain points or when i click something.

Well, it might be worth formatting your microSD I guess.
Download the Panasonic SD Formatter, backup everything on your microSD and do a format with the tool.
That might fix something, if the formatting wasn't done right then video buffering wouldn't work properly.

welll yeah the problems with freezing between videos and when i press buttons are better but some videos still freeze at one point.

Well, you've got other flashcarts haven't you? (Judging by your sig)
I guess that just means the R4 Ultra isn't worth using, unfortunately.

I suggest using Xilisoft Ultimate Video Converter to convert your movies. I have been using this since when and haven't experienced any problem. Used all the movies that I've converted on MoonShell 2 on AceKard 2, EDGE, R4 SDHC (clone). Use DPG for moonshell 2.00 and above. Just use the lowest settings for the video (still looks great on the NDS. And for sound is dependent on you. Enjoy!
