I don't seem to see this mentions anywhere so it must be me who did something incorrectly. Please advise ...

I installed moonshell on DSTT. Every time it starts, it flashes some error message for a split second, about some files not found; it then goes on to start and it works fine as far as I can tell. The error message flashes so quickly I could not get it clearly, but it is always there.

I tried both the version linked from DSTT official webpage and the one from the author (both are 1.71), and always got the same result.

firmware is 1.10. I have no problem with any other apps.

Oddly, that is the normal behavior of Moonshell, so no worries.

I think the intent was that if there was an actual error, it would get stuck on that screen and you'd be able to read it. Instead, it has caused threads similar to this one to pop up all over the Internet. Awful design choice, in my opinion.

Moonshell still isn't working for me. I noticed though, that my DSTT firmware is 1.07... could that be a factor?

I'll try that next, and see if that works. I'll check back when I get home and have a chance to test it. Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the explanation. This is indeed very unusual software design style ... I also have an EZ-5 cart which is based on moonshell but has no such issue, so I just assumed something was wrong here.

I actually searched (google over the internet, gbatemp, and other forums) for "DSTT moonshell problem/issue/error" etc. but did not find anything useful...

Anyway, it seems the author of moonshell has stopped working on it ...

[off topic] BTW, Thanks Bri for the sorting trick. That took away about the only problem I have with DSTT.

Try "moonshell startup error" and you'll get plenty of hits. It's not related to the DSTT, so I'm not surprised that throwing "DSTT" in there would limit the hits.
