Hacking Monster hunter tri freeing weird noise

So I'm using USB loader gx to load up my hard drive full of my backups and so far every game works flawless apart from monster hunter tri.

It loads up fine but when you go select "begin the game" the console locks up and you get this continuous loud buzzing noise. I have to unplug the power to switch it off.

I know it's not the game as I got two versions Japanese and pal, they both lock up at the same point.


Is there any settings in USB gx loader I should tri in order to get monster hunter tri to work?

I would try using cfg loader instead to test but that loader doesn't even recognise my WD 500gb passport drive full of Wbfs games.

Has anyone else tested this game out yet? Would love some help.

i do not know if there is any compatible differences with a normal wii and the Vwii on a wiiU

is the original disc working on wiiu ? (perhaps compatibility has been broken for this game in order to increase sales of the forthcoming version )

Wiiflow wont even load the game. When I try it just resets itself back to the Wii menu. But Wiiflow does this for most games, the compatibility is not good.

USB GX Loader Works the best. Loads up all my games perfectly. Just the monster hunter tri game has the freezing issue, It loads the game up no problem but when I get to the main menu and press a on "begin the game" It freezes, locks up and makes loud buzzing noise.

I have read people with the same issue's similar to me but for the original Wii. Like here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/monster-hunter-3-and-usb-loader-gx.178920/

I'm just stuck as I'm out of idea's on what to try next.

You need a certain cios rev, I don't remember which atm sorry. Also if someone knows be sure you make sure its safe on v wii.

Hermes IOS 223 Base 37 merged with 38. was how i got it to work on my wii. I believe it was 3.0 rev 4

i dunno. im waiting for a major update before i hack my vwii. i have a modded wii right next to it anyway. lol
