Okay, I have a serious question. I cannot find anywhere online any sort of guide to playing multiplayer online in MH4U. Would anyone be so kind as to give me a link to somewhere that explains how I can team up with people online and do quests? This is really frustrating, I just can't seem to find out how to do it. I have connected online to the gathering hall, but I can't figure out how to depart on quests with other players. Thanks!

To the right of the quest counter is a quest board. It is red with a blue outline and has a bunch of sticky notes on it. Also has a carpet underneath. Look at it with A and pick a quest someone picked. When you do, you'll get a half sized quest icon over your head. When you are ready, go to the right of the quest board to the opening and confirm that you are ready. you'll hear a ding, your icon will flash, and you can no longer move. This signifies that you are ready to depart. If you forgot something, you can press B and be able to move again, but the quest leader may be able to leave without you.

I mainly use insect glaives, charge axes, sword and shield, lances, and hammers (I try to be as well rounded as possible).

It'll be nice not having to use xlink kai to play online anymore. That thing was a huge pain in the ass.

I'm still hanging around High Rank, been helping some of my IRL friends get into the game for the first time. mr allen, got you added to the OP. Everyone else don't forget to occasionally check the OP for new names!

Now that we got a nice size group, we should start organizing rooms to join. I like that you can add passcodes to rooms but yet people on your friend's list don't need it. Great feature.

I've had to solo all my urgents since I could never get people to play with me, and my trusty insect glaive was enough to get the job done until Dalamadur. IG is super useless against him, so now I have to grind for a brand new weapon to use against him. So close to G!

I had to solo Ukanlos and it wasn't fun. lol

After 10 failed attempts, I managed to solo Ukanlos and got 2 gems and a pair of worn blades for my efforts. Time for G rank armor! I've been using Velociprey for all of low rank, and Velociprey S for all of high. Let's see if Velociprey X is any good.

So I've been playing for maybe close to 30 hours, almost exclusively single player except for maybe 3 online attempts.

I think it would be a good idea if we all include our 3DS screen names too. I've got a bunch of GBATempers on my friend list now but when I'm on my 3DS, I'm not sure who is who any more But I don't want to update the OP without each person's consent. So if you like, please reply with your 3DS screen name and I'll update the OP with it. I've already included a few folks name that included it in their original request (the ones followed by 'aka').

I was thinking that it might also be a good idea to include your hunter's name as well so we know who is who when we're actually hunting together as we could be using different names from both here and our 3ds screen names. To start it off, my hunter's name is is Unity.

Okay I revised the OP to include a space for everyone's GBATemp ID, their Mii's name that would show up on your Friend's list, and one of their Hunter's names. Only going to include a space for one Hunter name. I also dropped the preferred weapon since it made the list too big.

Got you both added. Don't forget to add me too! I don't understand the jerkiness towards S&S...or any weapon really. They are all so well balanced. I guess they see an Attack number lower than Hammer or Great Sword and think it's not as good. N00bs.
