Hacking Modify WBFS Partition / Create FAT32

Right now my 500GB HDD is formatted into ONE WBFS partition with my games on it, I need a program to modify that partition (reduce it's size) so I can make a FAT32 partition with the unallocated space. How would I go about doing this?
Go from ONE WBFS Partition --> TWO Partitions, one WBFS and the other FAT32

Don't know that it needs to be able too. Should work as it can resize an unformatted partition. Like I said though backup the drive first!

You'll have to back up the files (from the WBFS) onto another drive, format/partition the 500G then transfer the things you want back over.

Sorry, but there is no way around that. Even if partitioning programs would recognize WBFS (they don't...they see it as unallocated space), then it will at least urge you to keep things backed up, as they can't garantee that the repartitioning won't corrupt things.










(note: I'd go with EASEUS partition master, but more because it is more recent than partitioning magic...I'm sure they both work)


(extra note: while you're at it...just go with full FAT32. The "disadvantages" of the system in no way weigh up to the benefits)

Dont transfer all your games at once from WBFS as this tends to corrupt the games go 1 at a time

So you can try the "Acronis Disk Director Suite"
I think this program can help you create the partition or modify partition.

first, you'd better backup all games,and delete the WBFS partition
next,use the ADDS to create two partition,one of the FAT32,and the other one of any file system.
the last,you can use the "wii backup manager" or other software to format that other partition to the WBFS file system and copy the games to the WBFS partition

What's your OS? If your os is Win7 or vista, the snap-in disk management could help you shrink your wbfs partition to release some unallocated space then create a new fat 32 partition, if your os is XP, you could only use other partition software or disk command line (the target partition could not be system partition) to achieve this.

BTW, from your description, you said you want this fat 32 partition for game? if you are working it with some game controller, you must notice that only the first partition formated as fat 32 could be read by controller. If the first partition is not fat 32, it could not be detect by controller.
