I'm having problems with this, I followed the guide but I cannot get my usb hard drive to work with my black wii. Everytime I run USB Loader GX it's saying device not found. The hard drive was working on my old white wii but not on this black one. I am sure I followed the guide correctly. If I went through the guide again, would it brick my wii? I have got priloader installed but I don't know what to do now.

Silly question, but are you using the USB port closest to the edge of the Wii?

So I followed the tutorial on the first page. I have already had the hbc and bootmii installed. it seemed to overwrite everything fine to update to 4.2u. However when i put in games that previously played fine they are now asking for an update (punchout, etc) These are backup games and not original fyi. I figured out how to block these with priiloader but I am still curious why it happened and if I need to fix it? I also read about a step or certain ios that should have been addresses in the original post and was not. Is there a place to follow that step or does someone have a play by play they can guide me through?

Just worked for me. Try emailing simplisticmod again. You probably have an old link.

Getting the same problem, when I click download in megaupload , if fails to connect and link doesn't work.

I just googled "xzxero megaupload modify.zip", and it was the first thing in the list, then I clicked download, and it started to download (I cancelled it because I don't need the files, but it is in fact working)

edit: make sure u type in the 4 letter code (if u are a free user)... or u can download skipscreen and it will do the work for u

There is no problem finding the links, Megaupload just won't serve modify.zip to some. I enter the 4 digit captcha successfully, wait 45 seconds, hit download, and it cannot connect.

When I'm trying to download the modify.zip, it doesn't respond. When I press "Normal Download" just gives me a time-out after a few minutes of waiting. Just sended a e-mail to simplisticmod, so got the newest links. UpdatePAL and cIOS are working perfectly. Maybe you should have a look in to this.
