Ok... That's a big 10/4.... I will try again when I have some free time.... I will let you know when it starts to mess up and then maybe we can figure this out.... also I was wondering.... once you have the softmod working right..... can I still play my store bought games????

Yes, But i advise blocking disc updates.

So I've modified 3 wiis using this guide and they've all worked fine. My friend game me his a while ago and only updated it today. It seems the guide has changed a little bit but as usual I followed it word for word. I got everything done but when I install wads through the wad manager, they freeze when I load them from the wii menu. (neogamma, Backuploader, etc.) They also freeze if i try loading them through the homebrew channel.. Any ideas??

u can do that, but if u install preloader 0.29 HAXX edition, and u have the JODI homebrew channel, u will not be able to launch the homebrew channel from preloader (unless you also install the HAXX to JODI forwarder)

see my signature for all the relevant files u will need

This work perfectly although i struggled at first..,

after TBR the downgrade and all that kinda stuff

run DOP IOS nd choose ios 36 and remove stubbed

delete ios222 ios223 ios249 and ios250 after that u can install your cIOS

MY SON UPGRADED TO 4.2 VIA NINETENDO IVE GOT HOMEBREW CHANNEL BUT WHEN I USE HACKMII INSTALLER TO MAKE BOOTMII IT SAYS NO ISO VUNERABLE ALSO TRIED TO MODIFY 4,2 BUT DONT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO FIND A ISO THAT I CAN TRUNCHA CAN I USE A ANOTHER WII NAND BACKUP

it's just that you have the 41-46 IOS's which are for Korean wii's

The SN on that Wii is LEH105283230
The Wii has a RVL-001(EUR) model number and is produced for the European market. The copyright year is 2006.

That is what it lists on a site.

Could it be possible that it is the wrong SN on the Wii itself?

What way can it get Korean IOSes installed? lol

None were used, just the pack from here, no cIOSCORP as I am not a fan, so I tell everyone NeoGamma or usb loader gx.

Not sure how'd he get Korean IOSes

Hey there!

I just got my wii a few days ago - bought used.. updated to 4.2u and tried to follow the guide (using the modify.zip) but my wii freezes everytime I insert the sd while being in the channel menu?

might be worth noting that i'm using a 8gb card - but that should be allright with 4.2 I read..?

What else could be the problem or what should I try?

Thanks in advance!

Are you going into the sd card menu or wii settings>data management>channels?

If your on 4.2 you need to be using the sd card menu.

OMG i'm so stupid. worked perfectly without any problems. Thanks! (didn't even come to my mind that i could try that)

When I go to install a WAD under Wad Manager 1.5 I am first asked to select an IOS. If I have followed this guide for NTSC-U which ISO do I select?
