It is a 2GB SD card. SO the backup probably got skipped. So much scrolling text I didn't see what happened. HOWEVER, Thank you Olmectron! I am afraid to do the standard update so I renamed the file to START_decrypt9 and it worked. I am updating to 9.2 now. I am so scared to go to 11.0 or whatever.

The reason I am doing this is to downgrade my NEW 3ds using this OLD 3ds so I can do the wireless streaming. So if I F this one up I can't do the other haha. Got a flashcart to do this and everything. It's restoring now to 9.2.0 it looks like and will take some time.

My X button works on this thing, but apparently using it to boot didn't work. So odd. Both times I had to post I knew I was following instructions correctly but they both have been issues out of my control. Thanks to people like ya'll I am moving on to the next step. Thank you so much.

Good to know it worked out. :)

Also, don't worry about updating to the latest firmware, it won't break your console. But I understand if you prefer to stay on 9.2.

For you to do the DSiware Downgrade, you'll have to update to latest FW on the CFW console so, you can't hold back on it.

Just update it when the guide tells you to.

Think you might have the wrong post - not sure why you are mentioning dsiware; plus you are incorrect you don't need to update to latest firmware for dsiware - you can get around it with ctr-httpwn

I understand this as DSiware Downgrade.

And NO, you can't go by with ctr-httpwn (NOT on source console)
3DS #1: the 3DS running some kind of custom firmware (arm9loaderhax or some form of EmuNAND/RedNAND) on the latest version

My bad - could have sworn that sentence wasn't there before. And also thought the ctr-httpwn was the other way around; thanks for clarifying
